In February of 1999 we took our first cruise in the Western
Caribbean aboard the brand new Princess Lines, Sea Princess. It is a Mega
Liner over 70,000 gross Tonnes with everything you could ever want. Our cruise
took us to Princess Cays (Princess' private island), Jamaica, Grand Cayman
& Cozumel.

One of our favorite ports was Grand Cayman. It was a beautiful
Island with friendly people, great shops and plenty of places to find wonderful
food and ice cold drinks. While on the island we took a trip to "Stingray
Bay", where you can swim and pet the sea rays!

The Sea Princess had so many great things to offer. On the sea
days when we weren't in a port, we explored the ship and enjoyed swimming and
getting lots of sun. We met a great group of couples from Chicago, Illinois that
we spent a lot of time at the aft deck bar with.

For those of you who have never been on a cruise ship, the big
ships offer every type of entertainment you can imagine. We especially enjoyed
the pools and Jacuzzis. The Sea Princess which is considered a large cruise
ship, has 3 pools and 5 whirlpools. Plenty of room to enjoy the outside.

Eating is one of the serious pleasures of a cruise and Princess
makes sure your can enjoy it 24 hours a day. There are two main dining rooms, a
patisserie (for cappuccino/espresso coffees and pastries), a wine/caviar bar,
and a pizzeria. With all that there is also the Horizon Buffet that is open 24
hours a day. Plenty of places for the 2,250 passengers when the ship is full.
We especially enjoy getting dressed up for dinner each night and
having a regular service staff to help our table enjoy a great dining
experience. Princess is implementing a new program called "Personal Choice
Dining". this will allow cruisers to eat at different places and times each
night. We are not so sure that will be a good thing. Part of the dining
experience we enjoy so much is having the same wait staff and group to eat with
each night.

All in all our first cruise on the Sea Princess hooked us and started
something I am sure will continue for years and years. What a great vacation!
